Volunteer

Every role makes an impact

Volunteering with Vinnies NSW is a rewarding way to give back, build new skills, and stay connected to your local community. Whether you are looking to gain experience, improve your employability, or support people in need, volunteering offers meaningful impact at every level.

it starts with you

Our volunteers are the heart of Vinnies shops, and we couldn’t do what we do without their hard work and dedication.

By giving just a few hours a week, volunteers help customers sort donations and support the daily running of our stores. In return, you gain valuable skills, meet new people, and become part of a supportive team.

We offer a range of volunteer roles to suit different interests, abilities and availability. No experience is required. If you are friendly, reliable, and aged 16 or over, we would love to hear from you.

Apply online or visit your local Vinnies shop to meet the team and learn more.

Step up for good

Vinnies volunteers share our vision of a more just and compassionate society. Every role makes an impact. Those who give their time to volunteer with Vinnies are directly helping to raise vital funds which helps us provide assistance to people who are experiencing homelessness, domestic and family violence, and poverty.

Our shop volunteers contribute nearly 30% of funding for homelessness and support services across NSW. They also play an important role in protecting the planet by diverting millions of items from landfill and reducing the environmental impact of clothing production.

In the past financial year alone, more than 5,750 retail and logistics volunteers helped sell over 3.4 million pre-loved items across New South Wales.
