Turning Pre-loved Goods into Positive Change
We are committed to lifting people up and offering hope to those experiencing disadvantage when they need it most.
Our retail journey began over 100 years ago, with the first Vinnies shop opening on King Street, Newtown in 1922, where donated goods were collected and resold to fund the work of the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW.
That mission continues today. With more than 220 Vinnies shops across New South Wales and our online store, we make quality pre-loved items accessible while helping fund practical support for individuals and families facing tough times across the state.
How We Make a Difference
In the last financial year, we’ve assisted nearly 105,000 people across NSW, distributing $15.1 million in financial and material assistance to those in need. Of those reaching out, 3 in 4 requested food assistance, nearly half were experiencing housing stress, and 31% were seeking assistance for the first time.
Every purchase made in our shops helps fund our essential services and programs which ensures support is available for those who need it most.
