Sangmo is 25 years old and works in HR at Vinnies NSW, where she proudly supports the Health Services, Homelessness & Housing, and Disability & Inclusion teams across the state. It's meaningful, community-driven work!

"Each pre-loved piece carries a sense of history and character that makes it feel uniquely special," she says. "I absolutely love op shopping."

How we found each other

Sangmo came into the Vinnies Finds orbit through a collaboration with Jennifer, a colleague based in the same office. The two worked together on a project called Your Journey with Vinnies, a short video series shining a light on the stories and career journeys of Vinnies employees.

"It was a meaningful project to be part of," Sangmo says. "It was a pleasure working alongside Jennifer to bring it to life."

The find that started it all

Ask Sangmo about her favourite Vinnies find and she doesn't hesitate: baggy denim jeans.

"They've become a staple in my wardrobe since they go with just about everything and are so comfortable," she says.

What keeps her coming back

For Sangmo, shopping at Vinnies is about more than the clothes.

"What I love most is the sense of discovery," she says. "You never know what unique piece you'll come across."

Sangmo is enthusiastic about Vinnies Finds' evolution into the online retail space, and she sees it as a natural next step.

"It allows Vinnies to reach a broader audience while continuing to provide affordable, sustainable options for shoppers," she says. "It also creates new ways to share the stories behind our pre-loved items and expand our impact across communities. I think it's an exciting evolution."
